The Reconstruction of Roadway and Associated Underground Utilities Project involves engineering and construction phase services for pavement reconstruction and public utility replacement/rehabilitation for 69th Street and Avenue S, for the City of Galveston. Funding for this project was through the General Land Office (GLO) as a result of damage from Hurricane Ike in 2008.

Approximately 2,000 LF of 69th Street will be reconstructed using 8-inch reinforced concrete pavement. Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation methods will include Pipe Bursting for 12-inch to 24-inch pipe, Cured-In-Place Pipe for 30-inch pipe, and manholes rehabilitated by cementitious wall liner with corrosion protection. Storm Sewer improvements include 1,100 LF of reinforced concrete pipe from 24-inch to 48-inch. Approximately 1,900 LF of 8-inch waterline will be replaced.

For Avenue S, approximately 3,200 LF of pavement will be reconstructed also using 8-inch reinforced concrete pavement. Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation methods will include Pipe Bursting for 8-inch pipe and manholes rehabilitated by cementitious wall liner with corrosion protection. Replacement of sanitary sewer consists of 1,400 LF of 8-inch pipe. Storm Sewer improvements will include 2,400 LF of reinforced concrete pipe from 18-inch to 30-inch. Approximately 3,300 LF of 8-inch waterline will be replaced.
