Binkley & Barfield, Inc. (BBI) is pleased to announce the promotion of James Hornsby, PE to the position of Managing Director – Structural.
James joined BBI in 2013 and has served in the role of Manager of Structural Design where he has excelled in delivering cost effective solutions in structural and bridge design for both external and internal clients.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, James has more than 28 years of experience in structural engineering. He has managed and designed more than 300 bridges across Texas ranging from simple rehabilitations to multi-level directional interchanges, including more than 25 direct connectors with both concrete and steel designs. He prides himself on being a common-sense engineer who finds creative and novel ways to solve challenging problems. His experience encompasses structural design and analysis, marine, coastal, navigation, transportation, wastewater system design, roadway design, and land development projects.
