TAMU SEC’s Spring 2020 Engineering Career Fair
The BBI Family of Companies joined more than 450 companies to attend the Texas A&M SEC Spring 2020 Engineering Career Fair on January 22-23 at Kyle Field in College Station.
The SEC Engineering Career Fair is the premier recruiting event for the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University. The career fair is planned, organized, and staffed by the Student Engineers’ Council and is one of the top 5 “best-recruited campuses” in the nation by U.S. Industry. As many as 17,000 engineering students attend the spring career fair seeking internships, co-ops, and full-time positions.
University of Texas 2020 Spring Engineering Expo
On February 6, the BBIFOC attended the University of Texas 2020 Spring Engineering Expo career fair at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin.
The Cockrell School of Engineering holds career fairs each academic year, offering students and employers beneficial interactions and connections. The Engineering Spring Expo is hosted by the Engineering Career Assistance Center that is considered the first official event of the fall recruiting season.
University of Houston 2020 Spring Engineering Career Fair
On the same day as the UT career fair, we were also at the University of Houston 2020 Spring Engineering Career Fair at the University of Houston Hilton Hotel.
Each year, the Cullen College of Engineering hosts two engineering career fairs to connect more than 1,500 students with 100+ employers offering positions for co-ops, internships, and full-time jobs. Hundreds of formal job interviews take place, but students also have the opportunity for informal meet and greets with recruiters to share their resumes, learn more about the companies, and speak to working engineers about their experiences in the field. Just in the last 6 months, this career fair has secured 540 interviews with attendees!
